Her heart hurt.

It felt like someone just poked a water balloon

and all the water came drizzling out.

After the fights and the arguments and all the unfiltered words,

she was tired.

She was exhausted from feeling as though she was less.

She's always less intelligent, less adept, or less capable.

None of which was true, but that's what he made her feel.

Nothing she ever did was good enough.

So she filled with anger.

The feeling inside her heart stirred

like a witch with her cauldron, mixing

together all the vile things that may

one day poison someone else.

Her mind filled with all kinds of ungodly thoughts.

Until he came back to her one day after all the trauma.

He looked her in the face, and he cried.

He said "I'm sorry. I was wrong."

And she felt that he truly meant it.
